The Soapbox Derby - Team Building Construction Challenge!

Inspired by the Wacky Races TV show from the 1960's, this is a unique, non-motorised competitive team building event. The Soapbox Derby challenges each team to design and build outrageous soapbox dream machines, to match their allocated theme. The vehicles can range from realistic replicas to anything the imagination can conjure up.

You'll be given the basic materials and tools to build your kart, but other parts can be bought at the shop using the budget that each team will be given. Keen negotiation skills will serve you well here! Teams will also need to use their creativity to name and adorn their vehicles in the theme of their choice. There may even be a fancy dress wardrobe waiting to be explored, so that team members can get into character too!

For added fun we suggest including a Formula 1 racing car (yep...the real deal!), where teams can practice a pitstop wheel change to win extra points. This is fast paced fun, but with a key learning element about teamwork!

Once your constructions are complete, teams will be offered the chance to compete in a parade where points will be up for grabs as well as easily lost. Whether your following in the footsteps of Penelope Pitstop, or fancy being a villain for the day like Dick Dastardley & Muttley. We're sure you will have a great time in this competitive team building event as teams strive to win their place on the podium.

Who will be crowned the Pitstop champions?

(Champagne shower optional)
