Connections Big Event Team Building

A great collaborative team building challenge for large groups.

This Multi Team Activity is based on everyone building a railway around an Island. Due to the Island being at sea level, the railway must be at least 10 cm off the ground. Each team is allocated a section to build with various roles to fulfil.

With every section comes individual challenges as the railway needs to navigate “natural obstacles” (e.g. rivers, highways, mountains etc.). In addition stations and sidings maybe required with the appropriate signage. With tight budgets, the buyers need to negotiate and marketers to be creative and persuasive.

The Railway must be constructed to a standard that will allow an Infra-Red controlled passenger and /or freight train to drive the complete circuit.  Although the group is in teams, this is a collaborative exercise designed to encourage delegates to look at the bigger picture and avoid “silo” thinking.

Testimonial - "The activity was extremely well organised and all team members were fun, engaging and enthusiastic. The whole process from initial enquiry to finishing on the day has been extremely easy to organise; they are a highly efficient, effective and enjoyable events company to work with". BDO - Sept 2016

Testimonial - “We were pleased with ACF and the level of service, care and entertainment that they had brought to each of our events. Mark Fanning and his team were able to scale activities for small or large groups of people and made sure that there were enough resources to run each activity smoothly. The events team undertook a great deal of preparation, planning and research in to our business during the build up to our event, resulting in a bespoke industry specific solution. We would recommend ACF to other companies and organisations looking for something a bit different; the activities were engaging but entirely on point.”
Stuart Ryan – Engagement Manager, Costain - December 2015
